Nutrition is one of the most important aspects of healing the body and mind. Your body needs to be fueled with the proper nutrients on a daily basis. If you are used to eating fast food, processed, microwave, high fat meals, you will need to drastically change this part of your life.
To get the best results for your mind and body you will need to eat well balanced meals. First, begin with portion control. Eat often and do not gorge. You should be eating 3-5 medium to small meals per day. Each meal should consist of at least a serving of fruit, a serving of vegetables, and some protein and carbohydrates in at least two of the meals. Stay away from processed foods and limit your dairy and gluten intake. If you are working, try bringing your lunch to avoid going out.
