> What is peer support?
Peer support in mental health / addiction and recovery, supports relationships between people with similar experience. Specifically, Peer Support Coaches have been trained to share experiences relating to mental health, addiction, recovery, sobriety and overally health.
> How can I become a Peer Support Coach?
You need to have taken specific and ongoing training that directly addresses addiction and recovery. Furthermore, you need to be able to pass the certification requirements of the program you are working with. The training at Live Rehab has been certified by Success in Support Crisis (SiS) to meet the needs of their coaches.
> What is Success in Support Crisis (SiS)?
The SiS hotline was created by Dr. Monica during work with Behavioral Health Palm Beaches in facilitating relapse prevention. Dr. Monica, enjoyed supporting others success and believes you will too when you learn the professional trained skills you need to become a Peer Support Coach.
> What can I do as a Peer Support Coach?
You will need to check in with your own state laws as to whether or not you can become certified at the State level. Our program will enable you to become a Peer Support Coach with Success In Sobriety (SiS) and you may be able to launch/charge for your own services.
