Brief Group Therapy

Brief Group Therapy is a group that is short lived and has a very specific timeline.  Brief Group Therapy lasts only 8-12 weeks and can technically be supported through other groups yet it is technically in a category of itself.  During these sessions it is important to jump right into things right away considering the effectiveness that Brief Group Therapy has proven.  Another reason that Brief Group Therapy is so effective is because of the economic changes that people are living through.  Oftentimes, clients have only a limited number of sessions they are able to attend for reasons such as time or money so longer group sessions would not be as useful.
